Another proof of responsiveness to globalization and diversity.

Pangasinan State University (PSU) and Namseoul University (NU) of South Korea signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the PSU Conference Room on October 24, 2017.

The MoU signing officially engaged the two institutions on the purpose of developing academic exchange and cooperation in education and research.

With the said purpose, PSU and NU will work together to foster student and academic exchanges, joint research activities, joint degree programs, extension, and cultural exchange. A detailed plan will be developed in order to carry out the said activities.

Namseoul University President, Dr. Kong Chung-ja and PSU President, Dr. Dexter R. Buted while signing the Memorandum of Understanding โ€“ a partnership of the two institutions toward developing academic exchange and cooperation in education and research.

It also part of the agreement that each and every activity undertaken will be approved by the appropriate officials at each institution and must fall within each institutionโ€™s academic and fiscal constraints.

Dr. Dexter R. Buted, PSU President, underscored in his talks the principles of mutual benefit and respect for each institutionโ€™s independence during the consultation with Dr. Kong Chung-ja, NU President.

The PSUโ€™s partnership with NU is its first international link in South Korea. PSU ventures for more international affiliations as it is a significant tool for higher education institutions in developing its global competitiveness and in the realization of its vision.

It can be recalled that PSU had already established partnerships with Japan and Philippines Industry-University Research Institute, Hiryu High School and Chiba University in Japan, Institute of the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology, Phranakhon Rajabhat University, and Maejo University in Thailand.
