With the aim of arming the pre-service teachers with skills necessary for educating learners in the 21st Century, a virtual orientation program via zoom was conducted by PSU ACC through the initiative of the College of Teacher Education led by College Dean, Dr. Christopher J. Cocal on April 7, 2021.

The program began with an opening prayer followed by the Quality Policy recitation led by EGE Faculty members: Mr. Jefferson B. Obtinalla and Ms. Donnalyn Joy R. Gomez, respectively. Subsequently, SPE Department Chair: Mrs. Irene A. Noe delivered the opening remarks and statement of purpose of the activity. Thereafter, the orientation proper involving the students and their parents was facilitated by Ms. Baby-lyn O. Balgua and initiated by Dean Cocal, where he imparted valuable information to the pre-service teachers of the campus on how they can develop their skills and exhibit their full potential as future 21st Century teachers. This was followed by an open forum wherein the pre-service teachers expressed their concerns of becoming future educators of the youth especially in this time of pandemic. Dean Cocal prompt their concerns by reminding them the nobility of the profession and the importance of resilience among teachers who are the epitome of knowledge, values, and skills in the community. At the end of the program, a closing remarks and inspirational message was delivered by CED: Dr. Renato E. Salcedo to the aspiring teachers of the campus to continue on their battle of becoming wardens of quality education.
