Five members of the Books on Science and Math for Transformation (BSMT), a group composed of former classmates from Class ‘85 in Philippine Normal University (PNU), donated Mathematics books to Pangasinan State University-Alaminos City Campus (PSU-ACC) on December 18, 2021.

The BSMT delegation which includes Ms. Salvacion Degillo, Ms. Cecilia Toledo, Ms. Cynthia Hinoso, Ms. Mariza Solano, and Ms. Ma. Victoria Españo, was welcomed by Dr. Jenylyn V. Oboza (Acting Campus Executive Director), Ms. Chenee Marie C. Cacho (Chairperson, Secondary and Professional Education Department), Mr. Elmer C. Diocares (Coordinator for Student Services and Alumni Affairs), and Mr. Brandy Celino (Campus Head, Admission and Guidance Services).

All members of the BSMT were scholars of National Science and Development Board (now DOST) under Project 8102 Ed. They graduated with either BS Mathematics for Teachers or BS Physics for Teachers. Driven by their strong desire to help teachers and students in learning Science and Math subjects, used books from the USA are collected by one of BSMT’s members and are sent to the Philippines for distribution by other members to selected public schools and state universities in the country.
