Committed to achieve the University vision of becoming an ASEAN premier State University and maintaining its quality policy of improving its operation in response to the changing environment, Pangasinan State University โ€“ Alaminos City Campus (PSU-ACC) undergoes week-long Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) Virtual Accreditation via Zoom on its select programs along with Asingan Campus, San Carlos City Campus, and Urdaneta City Campus on May 17-21, 2021.

At the onset of the event, the University conducted an opening program wherein University officials were introduced along with the esteemed AACCUP accreditors for the different programs of the different campuses. For PSU-ACC, there were four programs that will undergo accreditation led by accreditation Coordinator, Dr. Aurea Marie M. Sandoval. The programs to be accredited include: Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) to be evaluated by team leader, Prof. Lorena M. Ripalda, team member, Dr. Cornelia T. Partosa, and librarian, Prof. Julius T. Bacatan; Bachelor of Business Administration (BSBA) to be evaluated by team leader, Dr. Raquel G. Ramos, team member, Prof. Ramesis M. Lorino, and likewise, librarian, Prof. Julius T. Bacatan; Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSE) to be evaluated by team leader, Dr. Samuel S. Poliden, team member, Dr. Quindhe M. Banquiao, and librarian, Prof. Ruvy M. Tuble; and Bachelor of Information Technology (BSIT) to be evaluated by team leader Prof. Hershey R. Alburo, team member, Prof. Zach Chamberlaine M. Corpuz, and likewise, librarian, Prof. Hershey R. Alburo. Currently, the four abovementioned programs are at Level I accredited status and hopes to elevate to the next level after the said virtual accreditation.

Each program was assigned a zoom breakout room for the area chairs and members to discuss with their designated accreditors the process of checking the virtual documents needed for the accreditation. Online checking of documents, campus tours, and interviews were performed during the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th day of the accreditation. Comments, suggestions, and recommendations regarding the needed documents as well as the additional documents were also given by the accreditors to the Campus Area chairs and members through the assistance of the diligent Campus Quality Assurance Coordinator, Dr. Charlaine P. Lopez.

On the final day, an exit conference was conducted where the accreditors gave their impressions as regards to the preparation of each program and its implication for the Campus. Most of the accreditors agree that despite the pandemic, and the added preparation of the digital documents, PSU-ACC has done its best to comply with the requirements provided in each of the parameters and sub-parameters of each areas. However, the accreditors reminded that area chairs and members of each program shall ensure the accessibility and conformance to format of some of the documents uploaded, and shall provide additional documents as evidences. Results whether the four programs of PSU-ACC have qualified for Level II accreditation status is yet to be announced
