In a powerful display of support, the Admission and Guidance Office with the Peer Facilitator Club, with the support of the Campus Executive Director, Dr. Rosario DL. Valencerina, took center stage during the flag ceremony today, September 23, for “National Suicide Awareness Month.”
Dr. Brandy Celino, campus head of admission and guidance services, had a simple talk about this month’s awareness. Sharing the history of yellow ribbons started and was dedicated to Mike Emme when he colored his Mustang yellow and passed away due to suicide.
The initiative of pinning yellow ribbons symbolizes suicide awareness, and our guidance counselors and peer facilitator club encourage the students, faculty, and staff to wear them for the whole week.
