The Pangasinan State University Alaminos City Campus (PSU-ACC) held an Essay Writing and Poster-Slogan Making Competition on November 18, 2022. The event was part of the celebration of National Environmental Awareness Month with the theme โOnly One Earth: Collective and Transformative Actions for a Sustainable Futureโ.
The competition aimed to encourage the students to express their thoughts and opinions on environmental issues and solutions through the power of pen and shades of color. The competition also served as a reminder to everyone on the integral role of the environment in our everyday lives.
A total of 28 students participated in the competition, with 18 in the Essay Writing category and 10 in the Poster-Slogan category. The participants were judged based on their originality, creativity, relevance, and impact. The winners of the competition were announced and awarded on November 25, 2022.
The winners of the Essay Writing Competition were:
- 1st Place – Trisha May Credo – III BSBA FM
- 2nd Place – Kryzel Joy Peregrina – III – BSED Math
- 3rd Place – Nora Palacielo – II BSED English
The winners of the Poster-Slogan Making Competition were:
- 1st Place – John Jeric Redito – III BSIT – B
- 2nd Place – Jenelyn Nantin – I BSHM – A
- 3rd Place – Regie Ginez – III BSIT – B
