The Pangasinan State University โ Alaminos City Campus (PSU-ACC) joined the nationwide National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) today, September 26, 2024, to enhance preparedness and response capabilities in case of a major earthquake.
The drill began at 9 a.m. with the activation of the alarm. During the first 30 seconds of the alarm, each office/unit executed the DUCK, COVER, and HOLD commands.
Following that, all personnel and students exited their offices while following the necessary safety procedures.
After the drill, Mr. Hezekiah M. Austria, NSTP Coordinator, delivered a message highlighting the importance of being prepared for natural disasters and encouraged students and staff to participate actively in such drills. Afterward, Dr. Rosario DL. Valencerina, Campus Executive Director, reiterated the campus’s active participation in a quarterly earthquake drill.
The campus communityโs participation demonstrates not only support for this activity but also preparedness for such a phenomenon.
