As part of the PSU’s 45th Founding Anniversary, along with other campuses of Pangasinan State University (PSU), Alaminos City Campus enjoined the simultaneous celebration of the Employees Wellness Day on September 26, 2024, at AVR and Covered Court. Faculty members, non-teaching personnel, and other students participated actively in the event.

One of the event’s highlights in the morning was the one-stop service and treats. Employees availed services from PAG-IBIG, PhilHealth, Social Security System (SSS), and Land Bank. Aside from these, they were also delighted with the treats as they experienced free manicures, pedicures, body massages, foot and hair spas.

In the afternoon session, the program began with a series of preliminary activities. Afterward, Dr. Agerico F. Oboza, Campus Administrative Officer, delivered his opening remarks emphasizing the importance of holistic wellness balance such as physical, mental, spiritual, occupational, social, and environmental. Dr. Rosario DL. Valencerina, Campus Executive Director, also showed her support for the campus community as she reiterated that each employee should avail the treats and services the administration has prepared.

Hon. Apolonia DG. Bacay, Board Member, Pangasinan 1st District, also demonstrated her invaluable support to the campus with her presence in the celebration. With the unending support of Hon. Arthur F. Celeste, 1st District Representative, Pangasinan, Hon. Bacay highlighted some of the projects/programs that can be beneficial to the PSU-ACC community. Further, Hon. Dahlia De Leon, City Councilor, delivered the warm message of the Alaminos City Mayor, Hon, Arth Bryan C. Celeste, emphasizing the support the campus can get from the Local Government. She also emphasized the importance of health.

As the program progressed, a videoke challenge was conducted to showcase the singing skills of the employees. The chosen participants competed in a friendly manner as they needed to gain points to win. Dr. Ellen Grace B. Ugalde, Dean of the College of Teacher Education, accepted the challenge as she performed first. All the employees enjoyed as they witnessed some of the hidden talents of their colleagues.

Subsequently, with all the keenness of the employees, headed by the non-teaching personnel, the PSU-ACC family enthusiastically participated in the Zumba dance. The Zumba King and Queen, the best in Zumba Attire, and the Most Energetic were chosen in this activity.

Lastly, certificates and cash were awarded to the winners, and certificates of the most compliant in both academic and administrative submissions for teaching and non-teaching were awarded. In addition, some employees received an award for their active participation in sport.

Certificate of punctuality and perfect attendance were also given to the deserving employees. The program concluded with Ms. Sheilla Marie M. Pascua, OIC HR Coordinator, delivering her closing remarks. She expressed her sincerest thanks to all the employees as they displayed their support and eagerness to participate.
