In a stunning display of culinary excellence, Golden SAHARA of PSU-Alaminos City Campus emerged as the ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ of the Ikaw ang Bida Alaminos Longganisa Culinary Arts Competition Year 9, held last March 22, 2025, at Plaza Enrique Braganza, Brgy. Poblacion, Alaminos City.
This prestigious event was a highlight of the Hundred Islands Festival 2025, celebrated through the Agri Trade and Tourism Expo 2025 and organized by JCI Hundred Islands to showcase the creativity and innovation of young culinary talents.
With the theme ‘Timeless Taste, Innovation in Every Plate,’ the competition challenged participants to honor the rich, traditional flavors of Alaminos longganisa while seamlessly incorporating modern culinary techniques and innovative presentations. Rising to this challenge, the Golden SAHARA teamโcomprising ๐น๐๐๐๐ ๐ฝ. ๐ต๐๐๐๐๐ (III-BSHM B), ๐ด๐๐๐๐ ๐น. ๐บ๐๐๐๐ (II-BSHM A), and ๐ฑ๐๐๐ ๐ฒ๐๐๐ ๐ท๐๐
๐๐๐๐๐ (II-BSHM A)โdelivered an exceptional dish. Their creation captivated the judges, achieving a perfect harmony of tradition and innovation.
In addition to claiming the championship title, Golden SAHARA also won the prestigious Best Mystery Box Challenge Award. This special award recognized their ability to think quickly, adapt to unexpected ingredients, and create a dish that showcased both technical mastery and creativity under pressure.
This remarkable victory would not have been possible without the support of Dr. Rosario DL. Valencerina, Campus Executive Director. The teamโs journey to success was expertly guided by Coach Mark Harley V. Bristol, whose profound expertise and belief in the team fueled their confidence and determination.
