To come up with their plans for extension activities, Pangasinan State University-Alaminos City Campus (PSU ACC) and DepEd Alaminos City Division convene for another meeting held on August 5, 2021, at the Alaminos City Division Library.
Present during the said meeting is Dr. Orlando Guerrero, Chief for Curriculum Implementation
Division (CID) together with the different Education Supervisors. Dr. Aleta Bergonia, Education Supervisor for Kindergarten welcomed the group and thanked the PSU-ACC team for being able to join the meeting. Meanwhile, Dr. Jocelyn Sagun-De Vera, Extension Coordinator of the Campus expressed her appreciation to the DepEd ACD team for choosing PSU-ACC to be its partner for their upcoming Extension Project. She also shared the best practices of the campus concerning Research and Extension and hopes for possible collaboration with the said Division.
Also in the said meeting was Dr. Christopher J. Cocal, former Dean of the College of Teacher Education, and the proponent of the “Edu-Saklolo” Extension project who shared the best practices of the college and provided substantial rationale for the said project.
Upon listening to Dr. De Vera and Dr. Cocal, Dr. Guerrero explained to the group the objectives of the possible partnership and the functions of each party. He remarked that since the Teacher Education students of PSU-ACC will soon be hired in DepEd, future projects with PSU-ACC will be a great beginning.
Also present during the undertaking is Mrs. Ellen Grace B. Ugalde, present Dean of the College of Teacher Education with Mrs. Chenee Marie Cacho, Chairperson of the Professional and Secondary Education Program, and Dr. Benedict Raras, Chairperson of the Elementary and General Education Program as well as Mrs. Amalia Ancheta, extensionist and documenter.
PSU-ACC is steadfast in the fulfillment of the University function on extension, especially to the Division in charge of nurturing the youth of the community.
