Pangasinan State University (PSU) – Alaminos City Campus has launched “Brigada Unibersidad 2024” (BU), a volunteer program designed to ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the campus before the resumption of classes. This initiative aims to strengthen the camaraderie among PSU-ACC students, faculty, and staff while underscoring the university’s core value of Social and Spiritual Responsiveness.
The Supreme Student Council (SSC) of PSU-ACC, in collaboration with officers from various year levels and organizations and other interested clubs, took part in Brigada Unibersidad. United in their efforts, they readied the campus for the commencement of classes for the second semester of A.Y. 2023-2024, scheduled to start on January 22 this year.
Ms. Arifah Hadji Abdullah, the SSC President, expressed her delight at the high level of student participation in this year’s Brigada Unibersidad. “It’s truly heartening to see the number of students who participated in Brigada Unibersidad this year. It clearly demonstrates that when we all work together, nothing is impossible,” she said. She also extended her gratitude to the organization officers, members, and the teaching and non-teaching staff of PSU-ACC for their active participation.
The event is led by the Campus Executive Director, Dr. Rosario DL. Valencerina also expressed her appreciation for the initiative shown by the student officers in driving BU.
