The PSU-Alaminos City Campus, headed by Dr. Rosario DL. Valencerina (Campus Executive Director), visited the LGU Alaminos headed by Hon. Arth Bryan C. Celeste (Alaminos City Mayor), to discuss matters regarding the provision of scholarships to students who are bona fide residents of Alaminos City for their holistic development today, January 8, 2023.
The scholarship will come from the payment of PSU-Alaminos City Campus (PSU-ACC) to LGU Alaminos of one (1) million pesos yearly for twelve (12) consecutive years as part of the condition of the deed of donation of the PSU-ACC lot signed last June 2021.
Aside from the financial assistance in uniform, transportation, on-the-job training, thesis, research allowances, and other educational benefits, PSU-ACC requested to use the funds for sports and culture and art equipment to which the LGU-Alaminos happily agreed. Mayor Celeste positively encouraged PSU-ACC to prepare the proposed itemized equipment list as soon as possible.
Also present in the said meeting were Dr. Agerico F. Oboza (Campus Administrative Officer), Dr. Christopher J. Cocal (Campus Faculty Association President), Dr. Potenciano D. Conte Jr. (Coordinator for Research), and Dr. Levi Jethro N. Balgua (Campus Executive Secretary).
PSU-ACC and LGU-Alaminos continue to strengthen their partnership through planning early on the start of year 2024.
