๐๐๐๐ก๐๐๐๐๐ 2- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Office 1 represented by Atty. Evelyn Ramos and Pangasinan State University-Alaminos City Campus represented by Dr. Jenylyn Oboza, Campus Executive Director, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to engage Government Internship Program (GIP) interns in public service through various GIP Partner Agencies. The agreement aimed to engage Government Internship Program (GIP) interns in public service.
The MOA was signed in the presence of Dr. Jenylyn Oboza, Dr. Elmer Diocares (Student Services Coordinator), Sir Mhel Santiago Gaspar (Senior, Labor Employment Officer), and Maโam Eleanor Bruno (Manager, PESO) at the AVR of PSU-ACC. DOLE will provide program beneficiaries, mainly the poor/indigent, the opportunity to showcase their abilities and competencies in public service. This initiative’s ultimate purpose is to attract the smartest and most talented individuals interested in pursuing a career in the public sector, particularly in professions and disciplines related to labor and employment.Furthermore, students participating in the GIP will be assigned to a place and will be required to work as an intern for a period ranging from three (3) months to a maximum of six (6) months, with the internship beginning on the date the intern reported for work in the office that was assigned to them.
The Government Internship Program, or GIP, is a component of KABATAAN 2000 under Executive Order (EO) No. 139, Section 1993, and DOLE Administrative Order No. 260-15, and aims to provide opportunities and engage young workers in the projects and programs of government agencies/entities at the national and local levels. In addition, only two campuses of PSU have this GIP partnership, the Alaminos Campus and Lingayen Campus.
