Graduating students of Pangasinan State University-Alaminos City Campus (PSU ACC) participated in the partnership of the Offices of Admission and Guidance Services and Internship, Skills, and Career Development with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Alaminos City through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) on June 6 at the Alaminos City Sports Complex Gymnasium. One of the objectives of the job fair was to see if several job seekers were hired on the spot.

During the fair, some of the incorporations were from Notherly Digital Services, which hired Wilma Ignacio from the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Finance Management (BSBA FM) on the spot, and from Staff Search Asia Service Cooperative, which hired Jhonlee Oliveros from the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) on the spot as well.

Robert Barawid Jr., a graduating student and job seeker, admits that this is his first time attending a job fair and feels nervous as he applies to two agencies. Due to this, the First Time Job Seekers Assistance Act, also known as ๐™๐™š๐™ฅ๐™ช๐™—๐™ก๐™ž๐™˜ ๐˜ผ๐™˜๐™ฉ ๐™‰๐™ค. 11261, aims to empower Filipinos to pursue jobs for the first time.

Notably, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) also participated in the job fair.

The government agencies services are the following during the job fair: Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Western Pangasinan Field Office; the field office head of DOLE, Darwin G. Hombrebueno, was also there to give a speech for the event; Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWFA); PhilHealth; Social Security System (SSS); Department of Migrant Workers (DMW); Department of Trade and Industry (DTI); and Pag-IBIG Fund. The overseas corporations also present were Concorde International Human Resource Corporation and Jenerick International Manpower Inc. In the local line of job fairs are CNT Promo & Ads Specialists, Inc., DMPlus Total Solution Corp., Flourishing Travel and Tours, Global Mode Manpower Services Inc., Interconnected Business Process Inc., Magic Appliance Center, Notherly Digital Services Inc., Speed Express Transport Service Inc., CSI, Savemore, Staff Search Asia Service Cooperative, Starman Enterprises Inc., and The First Islatel.

This engagement necessitated the active participation of all graduating students in availing themselves of the university’s job placement services and cultivating the qualities essential for them to assume productive roles within our society by exhibiting a professional demeanor.
