The Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) students hosted their Japanese Culture Exhibit and Trade Fair on December 13 at the Bayanihan Center and Rural Development (BCRD) grounds. This event was part of fulfilling the course requirements in Entrepreneurship in Tourism and Hospitality, Kitchen Essentials and Food Preparation, and Foreign Language 2.

The event commenced with a warm reception of participants, visitors, teachers, and students by Ms. Merjulyn P. Atiga, an esteemed HTM instructor. Inspirational speeches by Mr. Benedicto Rabina Jr. and Mr. Arnulfo Gutierrez Jr. followed, setting an encouraging tone for the students.

Mr. Mark Harley Bristol articulated the eventโ€™s purpose, highlighting its role in presenting the enchanting and intricate world of Japanese culture. The fair featured innovative culinary creations crafted by HTM students from the second to the fourth year.

The highlight of the show was the fourth-year studentsโ€™ presentation of traditional Japanese dances and costumes, brought to life through cosplaying. The event culminated with the ceremonial ribbon-cutting, marking the official opening of the exhibit and fair.
