The Society of Amateur Hoteliers and Restaurateurs of Alaminos (SAHARA) recently conducted a community outreach program at the Daycare Center in Barangay Maawi, Alaminos City. The event, held on December 4, 2023, was aimed at enriching the lives of the daycare pupils through meals, school supplies, and engaging games.
The program began with a prayer and the national anthem, followed by opening remarks from Mr. Benedicto, Jr. Rabina. Mr. Arnulfo, Jr. Gutierrez, one of the advisers of SAHARA, expressed his gratitude to the local leaders and coordinators for their support in making the event possible.
SAHARA Governor, Mr. Sarie Boy Caboteja, highlighted the organization’s mission to foster a love for learning, encourage social interaction, and stimulate creativity among the young learners. The event featured a dance performance by the officers and interactive games designed to enhance the pupils’ cognitive, emotional, and social skills.
The pupils were treated to a meal and received school supplies. Miss Ma. Lhea Bumacod, a teacher at the Day Care Center, expressed her appreciation to SAHARA for choosing Barangay Maawi for their outreach program. She emphasized the positive impact of the event on her students’ education and well-being.
The program concluded with closing remarks from Miss Erika Mae Felias, the SAHARA Secretary. The event left a lasting impression of joy, discovery, and community spirit among the young learners.
This outreach program was not just about providing educational resources to underprivileged children. It was also about building a positive relationship with the community and promoting holistic development through interactive activities and engagement with local stakeholders.
