In celebration of the National Arts Month, the Masirib Kultura, an organization for Culture and Arts of PSU-ACC has prepared a series of events for this yearโ€™s National Arts Month. One of the highlights is the Chalk Art event, held at the pathway between the Purita Braganza Building and the New Building on February 13 and the Visual Art Exhibition at the Purita Braganza Building-Lobby, which took place from February 13-14.

These activities, spearheaded by Mr. Lord Ocuaman, Campus Culture and Arts Coordinator, provide platforms for the Masirib Members and the whole community of PSU-ACC to showcase their artistic prowess.

National Arts Month is celebrated in the country every month of February. This celebration highlights a vibrant showcase of Filipino artistic excellence, diverse cultural expressions, and the boundless creativity that thrives within the Filipino imagination.

This annual celebration, spearheaded by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), is mandated by Presidential Proclamation No. 683, signed in 1991. The theme for this year, โ€œAni ng Sining, Bunga ng Galing,โ€ encapsulates the idea that the bountiful harvest of human imagination is a collective endeavor. It emphasizes the importance of imagination, innovation, and artistic expression as integral components of our national identity and progress.

The PSU-ACC community, headed by Dr. Rosario DL. Valencerina, Campus Executive Director, is in one in making this celebration a memorable and enriching experience. Each memberโ€™s support and participation are essential in fostering a creative and united community.

Together, we can ensure that the โ€œAni ng Sining, Bunga ng Galingโ€ continues to flourish in the years to come.

Letโ€™s celebrate the arts, celebrate creativity, and most importantly, celebrate being Filipino.
