Pangasinan State University-Alaminos City Campus (PSU-ACC) held its Supreme Student Council (SSC) Election on October 25, 2023, to elect the new set of student leaders for the academic year 2023-2024.
The election was conducted manually and face-to-face. The students of PSU-ACC showed their civic duty and enthusiasm by participating in the election. They came to the campus according to their designated schedules and classrooms. The first- and second-year students voted in the morning, while the third and fourth-year students voted in the afternoon. They lined up patiently to cast their ballots and support their preferred candidates.
Before the election, the two competing parties, the Harmony Partylist and the Speak Partylist presented their platforms and engaged in a debate during the Miting De Avance last Monday, October 23, 2023. This event allowed the students to know more about their candidates and their plans for the campus.
The Electoral Tribunal (ET) of PSU-ACC ensured a fair and transparent voting process, from the counting of votes to the announcement of winners. They also reminded the students to vote wisely and responsibly.
The SSC election is an important event for the student body as it determines the next set of SSC officers who will represent them and work for their welfare for this academic year.
The new student leaders will be expected to initiate and implement projects and activities that will enhance the campus experience of the students.
The students are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the election results, which will be revealed soon. The outcome of the election will have a significant impact on the growth and development of PSU-ACC, as well as on the interests and aspirations of the students.
