Pangasinan State University – Alaminos City Campus (PSU-ACC) conducted its campus orientation for the Academic Year 2023-2024 on September 7 via MS teams to provide freshmen and transferees students necessary information about the expectations and real situations on the campus.

It was attended by Campus officials headed by our Campus Executive Director (CED) Dr. Jenylyn V. Oboza, who also gave her welcome remarks focusing on motivating the students to embrace challenges, seize opportunities, and become active because the PSU community will always give its support. After this, Dr. Cyfrel F. Ragusante, Human Resource Coordinator, introduced the different campus officials, teaching and non-teaching staff.

For the students to become aware of the various services that the campus is offering, Miss Camille Alferez, in-charge of student records, said in her discussion that the Registrar’s office plays a vital role in managing the entry and exit of the students on the campus. It was immediately followed by a discussion with Prof. Brandy Celino, Head of Admission, Guidance, and Testing, in which he encouraged the students to eradicate the mentality that the Guidance office is just for penalties and punishment, hence he invited them to visit the office whenever the time comes that anyone needs guidance and assistance.

Furthermore, Mrs. Shella Marie Diocares, Student Services and Alumni Affairs coordinator shared the institution’s student code of conduct and the scholarships that the students may avail. She also reminded the students to become cautious of their actions as every action has its own consequences. Consequently, Mrs. Luisa Junio, Campus Librarian, discussed the importance of the library and the proper utilization of the books and other materials that can be borrowed around the facility.

Miss Michelle Lacson, the campus nurse, also tackled the medical and dental services offered by the campus clinic. It was then followed by the discussion of Sir Marino Bartolome, MIS coordinator, on the utilization of the LMS which is the MS Teams. Lastly, Prof. Celino discussed the best habits and effective learning systems.

The event ended with an open forum with the participants where they raised their respective queries and concerns.
