Alaminos City Campus (ACC) representatives won awards in various competitions during the University-Wide Statistics Month celebration held at Pangasinan State University (PSU) Lingayen Campus on October 5, 2023.
Junnie Rey Rendon, a third-year Bachelor of Secondary Education majoring in Mathematics, placed third in the essay writing contest (student category) with his coach, Mr. Jerome Abellera. Ms. Maria Angelica Zacarias, a faculty member, brought home second place in the essay writing contest (faculty category). Masirib Kultura, a cultural group composed of Jerome Payas, Nicole Banogon, Janica Aspa, Zechariah Espaรฑol, and Angelene Supangan with their coach, Ms. Hannah Rose Botolan, won second place in the jingle (sing and dance) competition.
Other participants who represented the campus in various contests were Diane Ancheta, Kryzel Peregrina, and Mia Chin-chin Postadan with their coach, Ms. Abegail Ancheta for the statistics quiz bee; Aeron Cazar with his coach, Ms. Zarah Jane Anuddin for the oratorical contest; and Mark Joshua Ramiscal with his coach, Ms. Ma. Joshua Caras for the infographics making contest.
The campus congratulates all the participants and coaches for their efforts and achievements. The celebration was a learning experience for everyone and a showcase of statistical literacy and creativity.
