The Human Resource Management Office of the Pangasinan State University (PSU) Alaminos City Campus conducted a Structured Learning Experience (SLE) for its new non-teaching staff and contractual faculty members on April 19, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the PSU ACC Library.

The SLE was designed to provide the new employees with comprehensive knowledge of various University, Campus, and department policies, procedures, and agenda. The initiative is part of the University’s commitment to support the integration and development of new employees, ultimately leading to improved overall performance and success.

The participants included six new non-teaching staff members: Abigail I. Fernandez, Janice D. Jaranilla, Princess V. Galanta, Joseph Gerald C. Garce, Judeelyn T. Peralta, and Dinah S. Soriano. Three new contractual faculty members also attended: Maria Celina Mendoza, Jerson D. Domingo, and Paul Anthony Pamo.

The program began with a statement of purpose by Ms. Sheilla Marie M. Pascua, the OIC Campus HR Coordinator, followed by welcome remarks from Dr. Rosario DL. Valencerina, the Campus Executive Director. The day continued with the introduction of the campus officials, an orientation on Civil Service Rules and Regulations, CSC Forms and Campus Policies by Dr. Agerico F. Oboza, the Campus Administrative Officer V, and a session on the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) by Ms. Pascua.

The participants also learned about the Quality Management System (QMS)/ EOMS & other PSU Quality Assurance Mechanism from Mr. Ronald R. Noma, the Coordinator of Quality Assurance. Dr. Chenee Marie C. Cacho, the Chairperson of the SPE Department, led a session on Individual Development Plan, Test Development, Table of Specifications, and Rubrics Preparation. The day concluded with a discussion on Burn Out and Quiet Quitting by Mr. Brandy N. Celino, the Campus Guidance Counselor.

The event ended with the Campus Executive Director and Administrative Officer awarding certificates to the participants and speakers.

The SLE marked a significant step in the continuous effort of PSU Alaminos City Campus to foster a supportive and productive work environment for its staff and faculty.
